In any environment, greenheart will outlast CCA “hands down”. This is due to the fact that greenheart is much denser than CCA. Making marine borer attacks much less frequent. As you know they are so dense they won’t even float . You also don’t have to worry about whether the pressure treatment process was performed properly, a common problem with CCA. Greenheart is also structurally about 3 times stronger that CCA. Additionally if you do not overload a greenheart pilings it won’t completely fail and snap in two like CCA will. It will splinter and fray like fiberglass. Clearly all these advantages make greenheart the obvious choice to any one who is looking for a superior quality product.
